Arch Street Press is hosting a writing contest to find America’s best college writer of nonfiction. This contest is open to undergraduates and graduates between the ages of 18 and 30 who have not had a work of nonfiction prose published previously. Each winner will receive a contract, a mentor, and $1,000 in cash. Arch Street Press is an independent nonprofit company interested in sparking interest in nonfiction writing and in supporting up and coming young writers. Interested writers should submit a manuscript of up to 5,000 words (no longer) and proof of college enrollment. Manuscripts can be submitted via email or mail. Additional submission instructions can be found at http://archstreetpress.org/arch-street-prize/.
