Poets are asked to write on the 2021 theme of ‘Writ in Water’. No more than 30 lines and must fit onto a single A4 page.
Essays may be on any aspect of the writing and/or lives of the Romantics and their circles, and should be written in a clear and accessible style. No more than 3,000 words.

The English department is now seeking submissions for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences’ undergraduate research journal, Creating Knowledge.
Faculty members from the English department will choose one essay to represent the department in this year’s publication. If you would like to have your essay considered for publication, please email a copy of your paper as a Word document to Professor Rebecca Cameron at firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 pm on Friday, April 23rd
Furrow is an award-winning, full-color print journal published each spring by undergraduates at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a website that features new work each month.
They accept poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art, and comics by anyone enrolled as an undergraduate in the U.S. during the 2020-2021 academic year. Students who graduated in December 2020 are still eligible.

Submissions for poetry, creative nonfiction, fiction, dramatic literature, and micro-prose are now open!
Any submissions sent in by 11:59 pm on February 12th will be given feedback and then have a chance to edit and resubmit their piece. After February 12th, all submissions will be received as is and the deadline is March 12th.
Submissions to multiple genres are allowed; however, please include the genre you are submitting to in the email’s subject line. You may submit your work to multiple genres, but you are only allowed to submit up to three pieces for poetry. The magazine is run and sourced by students, so it is strictly open as an opportunity for you! The selection process is anonymous.
