Winter Break Volunteer Opportunity

Want to Visit Peru? Volunteer with Vive Peru!
Vive Peru is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status dedicated to fostering understanding of Latin American and Peruvian culture and improving the quality of life for Peruvian communities.  Volunteer program fees are tax-deductible.
 
We are in need of volunteer interns experienced in the areas of
  •   Clinical Medicine
  •   Public Health
  •   Teaching English
  •   Social Work
  •   Engineering
to support our partner organizations and adopted communities in Northern Peru!  Work side-by-side with doctors in local clinics and hospitals, volunteer with underprivileged communities, share your love for music or languages with the children of Peru. In your free time, explore one of the most ecologically diverse and historically rich countries in the world.  
Applications are NOW OPEN for our Winter program, December 19 – January 9.
We also have Spring and Summer programs available!

Professional Development Internships in Thailand

Greenheart Travel, a Chicago-based non-profit that provides cultural immersion programs around the world and sends hundreds of volunteers and teachers abroad every year, has a really great internship program available via Xplore Asia. Xplore Asia is a partner cultural exchange organization based in Hua Hin, Thailand. Greenheart Travel works with Xplore Asia to place participants in schools around Thailand for the Teach in Thailand program. Interns will work directly for Xplore Asia in various departments at their office in Hua Hin.

Greenheart Travel has met with Carrie McAteer, Associate Director at the Career Center for the University Internship Program. She is very excited about this opportunity, and has confirmed that this internship meets the requirements for DePaul students to gain 4 credit hours on this program, when paired with the online internship course.

July 13—deadline to apply is May 11th

Fulbright Summer Institute Now Accepting Applications (deadline February 26, 2015)

Attention freshmen and sophomores! The Fulbright Commission is now accepting applications for their summer institute programs.

Fulbright Summer Institute programs provide the opportunity for US undergraduates (aged over 18), with at least two years of undergraduate study left to complete, to come to the UK on a three, four, five or six week academic and cultural summer program.

The program provides round-trip airfare from the US to the UK, tuition and fees at the host university/institution, accommodation and meals, and in some cases a small daily allowance.  You apply to one of nine participating UK universities.  The deadline is February 26.  To apply you must have at least two years of college left before graduation.
