English students are invited to the upcoming Social Science Research Center Mess Hall session “Drawing Vampires: Depicting a Cultural Icon,” presented by Angus O’Hara, a student from SOC.
When: Tuesday, April 7, 12 – 1:30
Where: 990 W. Fullerton Ave., Suite 3100
Angus will discuss the use of performative drawing to study vampires and their signification. His presentation will explore other subjects that might effectively use this methodology and feature a short documentary film demonstrating one way this type of data can be analyzed. After the presentation of the film there will be an opportunity for discussion on methodology and subject matter, vampire or otherwise.
As a reminder, all DePaul scholars (faculty/staff/students) are invited to present at Mess Hall, our casual presentation series. We’ve had presenters from all over the University talking about various types of scholarship at various stages in various fields. We hope to increase that variety! Interested parties should email Jessica Speer to talk about presenting.
