The DePaul Underground editorial staff is now accepting student writing submissions!
Have a short story, poem, essay, review, or non-fiction prose piece that you want to show off? Send it our way.
Here are the broad submission guidelines:
- Fiction: Stories should be a maximum of 1300 words, and must be sent as an attachment.
- Poetry: You are free to submit up to two poems, which must be no more than five typed pages.
- Non-Fiction: This category can include student essays, literary criticism, literary non-fiction, auto-biographical pieces (exercise good judgment as to what you choose to submit under this category), and even reviews or reactions to books, events, movies, new wine or craft beer releases, etc. Feel free to send in items that fall outside these categories. Limit to approx. 750 words.
Note that exceptions to the word/page count may be made on a case by case basis.
For our first AQ14 submission period, the DEADLINE is OCTOBER 15th!
